Wonderfully written characters and masterful dialogue

by admin

Dealer’s Choice by Patrick Marber on stage from Friday July 28 to Saturday August 5.

Director Nick Fagan is a big Patrick Marber fan.

“He writes dialogue that’s a gift for an actor. It’s always so clever, so biting, so funny,” said Nick. “Dealer’s Choice is Marber’s first play, and after experiencing it, it’s evident that his signature style and skill have been with him from the beginning.

“For many years, Dealer’s Choice has been the next Marber play I wanted to be involved with. To get the opportunity to direct a gritty story with such a rich script is a dream; to be able to do it in collaboration with a company like Blue Sky Theatre only adds to the overall experience.”

Jackson Barnard, Brendan Cooney, Brant Eustice, Michael Eustice, Adam Tuominen and Leighton Vogt give heartfelt performances in Blue Sky Theatre’s winter play, which opens on July 28.

So, even if five-card stud, two down, three up, whores, fours, and one-eye jacks wild means nothing to you, this pack of men will have you entertained.
